Fossils

Fossils are preserved remains of ancient animals or plants.

Small fossils

"Small" fossils are stand-alone fossils that always take up 1x1 square in the museum (where they have their own section) or if used as a furniture in a character's house.

Large fossils

"Large" fossils are skeletal pieces of dinosaurs. Each fully-constructed dinosaur skeleton is made up of 2-4 large fossils, and each large fossil takes up more space than all small fossils when displayed in the museum or a character's house.

As large fossil items need to identify which part they are (example: ankylo torso), their name is typically a shortening of the dinosaur they are a part of (using the earlier example: ankylosaurus). Below the large fossils have been divided by dinosaur (using the name as displayed on their museum plaque when completed), with a table of its constituent fossils below the image. Each image's caption is the text of that dinosaur's plaque.
